The evolution of you, and your wagen…

The early years

In the cash strapped early years you can be brimming with enthusiasm and ideas for Vdubs, but without the money to fund your ideal vehicle you need to be creative and inventive with your ride. High on the priority list would have to be the size of your wheels, your pulling power and your I.C.E. Slick paint jobs can generally take a back seat and as a result the rat look has become a recognized and highly regarded style.

Now I know it’s not all about money, and this is where some real gems of ideas can come forging through the scene, defining each era.

If you love to party, there’s no party like a Vdub party! The Volkswagen scene can fill your social calendar and provide limitless possibilities to meet new people, travel and expanding your horizons.

The middle years

So you get a bit older and maybe find yourself in a better financial situation and able to upgrade your Volkswagen to the one that is is in your head, your own ideal ride. This can be the crucial point for a Volkswagen where the owner can resurrect a deteriorating, dilapidated or just unloved vehicle and reinvent it in a new restored state to live on for a few more generations.

The family years

Enter children and the whole game changes. What once was absolutely fine for you, your partner, your mates, now just isn’t right. But don’t go buying yourself a people carrier

 

A total re-think is in order to accommodate your new Veedub fledglings. A scary thought to begin with but actually, it is just a natural extenstion of who you are and what you do. Rearrange the travel plans, sort out the seat belts, child seats, cots and hammocks, and your on your way again.
